(JTS Software closed the window on these conversion sometime last year, but I think I heard a rumor that WDS had temporarily re-opened it. This is one of the few times that being a registered owner is worth the hassle. Just go to their website and ask the question - they usually respond very quickly. It may be too late for this, but if you get in touch with WDS and can prove you own the HPS version (not sure what happens if you unknowingly bought a counterfeit copy way back when) they might still be willing to send you a download link to the WDS version. Old Banshee's unit boxes and colorized leader portraits are spectacular, and the regimental flags inside the unit boxes match the flags on the 3d units. Do not try to copy the mod folder to your game because nothing will happen (the game engine won't read it). To use the mod, back up the six unmodded textures and copy and paste ONLY THE CONTENTS of the appropriate Period folder(and not the folder itself) into the appropriate map folder (the Map folder and not the Maps folder). There are flag notes with dates in each uniform color folder, but First Bull Run and the Peninsula Campaign use Period I flags, Chancelorsville and Gettysburg use Period II flags, and everything else uses Period III flags. The mod uses more or less historical flags for the different periods of the Civil War. ![]() The mod comes in two flavors, depending on whether you prefer your Confederates in grey or butternut. I've made relatively few changes because I really like the way things look in the original and don't want to do anything that might clash with the Old Banshee design team's vision. Instead of being a mod of an entire game, it is a mod of one set of textures for all the games in an entire series. This mod represents a bit of a departure from my usual practice. ![]() My mod uses more or less historical flags for each period of the war, and lets you choose between using grey and butternut units. Some people don't like that the Confederate 2d units in the Civil War Campaign series are butternut rather than grey. This is a small mod for the John Tiller (now WDS) Civil War Campaign series of games (if you aren't familiar with the series, there are a lot of them). It also has a supportive community. However, it suffers from a few bugs.JTS/WDS ACW 2d flag and unit color mod version 1.0 Use custom factions, take control of historical commanders, and simulate your own Civil War scenario.
